Rituality for Android · Last updated: 26 September 2026
Rituality is provided by Humanity Nexus. This policy explains how Rituality handles information when you use the app and this website. For privacy questions, contact support@humanitynexus.com.
The essentials
Rituality does not require an app account. Your rituals, check-ins, notes, photos, voice recordings, schedules, and settings are stored on your device. Optional features can communicate with Google or Spotify as explained below.
Information on your device
The app uses the information you choose to add to display rituals, calculate progress, keep your history, show widgets, and deliver reminders. Photos and recordings are used for the features you select. The current app does not include advertising or a separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
Optional Google Drive backup
If you choose to connect Google Drive, Google asks you to authorize access to Rituality's private app-data area. The app uses this authorization to upload and restore backups, which may include your rituals, history, settings, photos, and recordings. This does not grant access to all the files in your Drive.
Backups are stored in your Google account. Google processes account and technical information under its own privacy policy. You can revoke access through your Google account. Revoking access or uninstalling Rituality does not necessarily delete an existing cloud backup.
Purchases
Google Play processes the optional Unlimited purchase. Rituality receives purchase and entitlement information, including product identifiers, purchase tokens, and purchase status, to verify access and restore purchases. Rituality does not receive your full payment-card details. Google may retain transaction records under its own policies and legal obligations.
Spotify links and other external services
If you add a Spotify track link, Rituality requests track information and may load artwork from Spotify or its content providers. These requests disclose the requested track and ordinary connection information, such as your IP address. Opening a track takes you to Spotify or your browser, where that service's policies apply.
Permissions and device security
Microphone: used when you choose to record a voice reflection. Photos and files: used for media you select and backup files you import or export; older Android versions may request storage permission. Notifications and alarms: used for reminders you configure. Rituality does not request location permission.
If you enable biometric protection, Android performs authentication. Rituality receives the authentication result, not your fingerprint or face template. You can manage permissions in Android Settings.
Retention and deletion
Local app information remains on your device until you remove it or clear the app's storage. Uninstalling removes the app's private storage, but exported files and cloud backups can remain separately. Archiving or pausing a ritual keeps its information.
To remove all local app information, use Android Settings → Apps → Rituality → Storage → Clear data. This is permanent unless you have a separate backup. Delete exported backups and media separately wherever you saved them. To remove Drive app data, use Google Drive's settings for connected apps where available; contact us if you need help locating that control. Disconnecting Drive alone is not a deletion request.
We cannot remotely access or erase information that exists only on your device. If you contact support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to handle your request. You can ask us to delete support correspondence, subject to any records we must retain for legal or dispute-resolution purposes.
How information is protected
Rituality uses Android's app storage protections and HTTPS for its configured online services. Keep your device and Google account secure. Treat exported backups as personal files and share them carefully. No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
